The Hobson Wildenthal Honors College houses 12 programs dedicated to promoting excellence in undergraduate education.

Peer Lead Team Learning  (PLTL) offers an active, engaged learning experience. Students meet with their small group weekly, where a trained PLTL Leader helps guide them through a potentially difficult gateway course.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides free, collaborative-group study sessions for students taking historically difficult courses. These sessions are hosted by a SI leader who has previously taken the course. SI sessions encourage active, collaborative learning based on critical thinking and transferable study skills.

Freshman Scholarships UT Dallas awards freshman scholarships based on academic merit and financial need. For maximum consideration, students must meet admission and financial aid deadlines.

Comet Promise All freshman and transfer applicants admitted by the January 15 priority financial aid deadline for the fall 2023 semester will be considered. Eligible students with a family income of $65,000 or less will have their full tuition covered through a combination of the Comet Promise funding, scholarships, grants and other tuition exemption programs.
