At a glance

The Statistics program at UT Dallas, offered by the Department of Mathematical Sciences, is designed to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Students learn how to collect, clean, organize and manipulate large datasets using statistical software and programming languages.

Statistics education emphasizes ethical considerations and responsible data analysis practices. Because of this, students also learn about data privacy, confidentiality and ethical or legal issues related to data collection.
