NSM Now LinkedIn

LinkedIn is estimated to have 740 million members from more than 200 countries worldwide.

Engaging others.

That’s what it’s all about, right?

The School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics recently made its presence on the social media platform LinkedIn, an online resource for networking, recruiting, hiring and training professionals and entrepreneurs.

According to LinkedIn, it is estimated to have 740 million members from more than 200 countries worldwide. This year in the United States, roughly 31 percent of adults are reported to use LinkedIn.

The United States heads the list of the top five countries on LinkedIn (174 million), followed by India (71 million), China (52 million), Brazil (46 million) and the United Kingdom (29 million).

“Although we may be considered a tad late to the game, we join as LinkedIn’s membership numbers are experiencing an upswing,” said Haywood McNeill, communications manager for NSM.

“Offering students, faculty, staff and alumni another channel to gather, learn, communicate and represent the school only helps us to express ourselves and our ideas with peers as well as prospective students, faculty and staff,” he said.
