Biology
At a glance
The Biology program at UT Dallas, offered by the Department of Biological Sciences, is designed to prepare students for careers in science, health and research. Students take core courses in genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry.
Our curriculum provides hands-on research experiences to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skills including scientific experimental techniques and data analysis.
The BS degree is intended as preparation for scientific careers in biology or in the health professions. The BA degree is a liberal arts biology major with less emphasis on calculus and more free hours for coursework in other disciplines.
